Destination Henderson, just a quick cruise from the Las Vegas Strip and McCarran International Airport, will host Southern Nevada’s largest car show, Super Run, September 20-23, 2012 in historic downtown Henderson. The all-ages event will feature four days of classics, competitions and concerts. Spectator admission is complimentary.

“Super Run appeals to such a diverse audience,” said Jacob L. Snow, Henderson City Manager. “Car enthusiasts throughout the U.S., and across the globe, are coming to Henderson for the car show. We look forward to welcoming these visitors to our premier destination.”

Henderson’s Super Run is a Mecca for classic car enthusiasts. Now in its 13th year, the nostalgic affair will take visitors back to the days of yesteryears, showcasing more than 1,000 vintage vehicles, hot rods and muscle cars. The automotive tribute will also contain a variety of high-powered challenges for fans to watch, including the roaring engines contest and the ever-popular burn-out competition.

In keeping with tradition, Super Run will also feature two complimentary performances by two award-winning entertainers. The concerts will kick off September 21 with country music star Jerrod Niemann, performing smash hits like “Lover, Lover” and “What Do You Want.” Then on September 22, fans will get their kicks with Route 66 – The Musical, featuring top songs from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

As part of the hot rod fun, a collection of Henderson resorts will offer special room deals, discounted as low as $39 a night, during Super Run. Such hotels include AAA Three-Diamond-rated Sunset Station Hotel & Casino, Wingate by Windham and a number of Marriott properties, all of which feature appealing amenities for all types of travelers.
