This week I’ve selected multiple covers from the same title, these are called Variants, usually illustrated by different artists, but depicting a similar concept. I don’t always pick multiple covers from the same title, but I refuse to toss out a pick because two covers have the same title.

I’ve also selected multiple covers by the same artist. I try not to allow my cover picks to be swayed by my like or dislike of a particular artists’ work, even though some artists do stand out from the rest. My selection process is subjective no matter what, so I try to choose covers based primarily on the quality of the artwork.

Each week I choose 10 of the best comic book covers of the week, along with a one or two extras. After browsing through the entire selection of new comics being released that week, I choose my favorites and share those picks here.

This is still a work in progress and I don’t have a set criteria for choosing my picks, I simply choose artwork that appeals to my own tastes for artwork, which is quite varied at times.

As always, your support and encouragement are very much appreciated. If you enjoy these kinds of posts, please let me know on Twitter @RobotOutlaw or feel free to drop me an email from my contact page.

Comic book art is the main reason that I’m so fond of comics. And this series “Best Comic Book Covers of the Week”, was borne out of that love for comics and comic book art.
